Police arrested a man after officers tracked down a suspect accused of cashing a forged check at a local bank.
Seneca Falls police arrested Michael Desino, 33, of Greece, on a felony arrest warrant around 12:06 p.m. Jan. 14. Officers charged him with forgery in the second degree, criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree, and grand larceny in the fourth degree.
Investigators said Desino forged information on a stolen check and then cashed it at a bank in Seneca Falls.
Police took Desino into custody without incident and transported him to the Seneca County Correctional Facility. He was held for arraignment in Seneca County CAP Court.
The Monroe County Probation Department assisted Seneca Falls police with the arrest.
