Police arrested a suspect days after a reported theft turned into a robbery on the Ithaca Commons.
Ithaca police identified the suspect as Madison E. Hornbrook, 25, of Lansing, following an investigation into the incident.
Officers responded around 1:40 p.m. Dec. 22 to a business in the 100 block of East State Street after a report of a theft. Police said responding officers quickly learned the incident met the legal definition of a robbery.
Investigators worked to identify the suspect in the days that followed. On Dec. 30, officers arrested Hornbrook and charged her with third-degree robbery under New York State Penal Law.
