A woman is facing DWI charges after deputies say she was driving on the shoulder and swerving out of her lane in Border City.
Sheriff’s deputies stopped 66-year-old Kathleen Rogers of Phelps around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 23 after seeing her vehicle move unsafely between lanes and travel down the road shoulder in the Town of Waterloo.
According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Rogers showed signs of intoxication during the stop.
She later submitted to a breath test that showed a blood alcohol content of 0.15%, nearly twice the legal limit.
Rogers was charged with misdemeanor DWI and issued tickets for moving from a lane unsafely and driving on the shoulder.
She was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to Waterloo Town Court on Jan. 21.
