A Wayne County Jail inmate faces charges after deputies say he tried to bring unauthorized items from the jail’s medical facility back to his cell.
Brian G. Lazzar, 46, of Catherine Street in Lyons, was arrested on October 30 and charged with promoting prison contraband in the second degree.
The Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened during an investigation at the jail. Officials allege Lazzar attempted to carry contraband from the onsite medical area to his housing unit.
He was fingerprinted and photographed at the jail. Lazzar is scheduled to be arraigned in Lyons Town Court on December 16 at 8:30 a.m.
