Three Finger Lakes towns — Geneva, Watkins Glen, and Hammondsport — have been named among New York’s best small-town beer scenes, according to World Atlas.
In Geneva, beer lovers flock to Brewery Ardennes, a Belgian-style standout named 2024’s NY Belgian Brewery of the Year. Downtown favorites Lake Drum Brewing and Watershed Brewing Co. round out the lakeside lineup.
Watkins Glen combines natural beauty with brews — Upstate Brewing Co. draws crowds near City Pier with food trucks and bingo, while Grist Iron Brewing Co. offers sweeping Seneca Lake views and 15 taps.
In Hammondsport, just off Keuka Lake, Finger Lakes Beer Co. and Brewery of Broken Dreams anchor the scene. Steuben Brewing Co. even hosts a beer-themed bike club, Pedals for Pilsners, for rides ending in brews and bites.
