A man was arrested at a Geneva hotel after deputies say he stole a Louis Vuitton bag and other valuables from another guest.
Douglas W. Dawkins, 44, was taken into custody on December 4 around 8:00 p.m. following an investigation at the Microtel Hotel on Route 5 and 20. According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Dawkins stole the high-end bag and several personal items from a visitor at the hotel. The total value of the stolen property was estimated at more than $3,700.
Deputies charged Dawkins with grand larceny in the third degree. He was transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment. The case was investigated by Deputy Lefebvre with help from New York State Trooper Windsor.
