Finger Foods Farm didn’t take the top prize at the Grow-NY competition — but it did win the only award decided by voters, according to the Democrat and Chronicle. The West Bloomfield soup maker earned the Wegmans Audience Choice Award, boosting its mission to share local, frozen farm-to-table soups year-round.
Owners Sarah and Alex Cookfair say the win energizes plans to grow production and support regional farms. Their butternut squash soup, based on a family Thanksgiving recipe, is now a seasonal favorite in Wegmans stores.
The farm’s soups are already sold across the Finger Lakes, with expansion plans set for 2026.
