Teen arrested after shoving family member, disturbance in Waterloo

A family disturbance in Waterloo led to a teen’s arrest early Monday morning.

Police say the 17-year-old is facing charges after allegedly pushing a family member, destroying property, and violating an order of protection. Officers took the teen into custody around 8:37 a.m. on Nov. 10 but say he resisted arrest during the process.

The juvenile, whose name was not released, was charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, criminal contempt in the second degree, and resisting arrest. He was issued an appearance ticket and is expected to answer the charges in Family Court.
