Man arrested after missing court date in Canandaigua

Deputies arrested a man Wednesday afternoon after he failed to show up for a traffic-related court case in Canandaigua.

Adolfo Jose Chamorro, 28, of Auburn, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant just before 5 p.m. at the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

The warrant was issued after Chamorro didn’t appear in court earlier this fall. He originally faced charges from a July 3 traffic stop, where he was cited for aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and driving without a license.

After Wednesday’s arrest, deputies brought him to the Ontario County Centralized Arraignment Court. He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.

Chamorro is expected back in the Town of Canandaigua Court at a later date.
