Alumni who’ve made a mark in their careers or communities now have a little more time to be recognized for it.
The Midlakes Graduates of Distinction Committee has extended the nomination deadline for its 2026 class to December 1. The program celebrates former Midlakes High School students who’ve gone on to achieve professional success or contribute meaningfully through civic or military service.
Honoring local legends
Honorees will be invited back to campus to speak with students, tour the school, and attend a reception at Warfield’s. Their names and achievements will also be added to a plaque displayed at the high school.
The most recent class — inducted in 2024 — included educator Julie Bellomo, Peter Cheney, Vanessa Carlson, and Clifford “Casey” Kunes III.
Nominees must have graduated from Midlakes at least 15 years ago. The committee evaluates nominations based on professional achievements, awards, affiliations, community service, and other accomplishments.
