Deputies arrested a woman in Cato after finding her walking near a vehicle that had gone off the road late at night.
Erica A. Cardinale, 35, of Victory, was charged with driving while intoxicated and felony aggravated unlicensed operation after a Cayuga County deputy spotted her on Route 34 around 11 p.m. on Nov. 4.
Investigators say Cardinale had driven into a ditch while intoxicated. She was found to be operating under a conditional license tied to a previous DWI arrest in January. Deputies say she later tested at 0.23% BAC — nearly three times the legal limit.
Cardinale received several traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in Cato Town Court on Nov. 10.
