An autopsy conducted on November 6 by the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Goodberlet’s death was a homicide. No further details on the cause of death or potential suspects have been released.

Troopers from SP Williamson, along with members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Troop E Major Crimes Unit, and the Forensic Investigation Unit, are continuing their investigation.

Williamson tenants fear for safety after woman’s death

Meanwhile, residents at Williamson Orchard Estate Apartments say they’re living in fear as the homicide investigation continues, according to RochesterFirst.com.

Neighbors tell RochesterFirst the killing is terrifying but not surprising — many have felt unsafe for months. Some refuse to go outside after dark, while others walk their loved ones to cars or talk about moving out entirely.

Tenants blame broken security doors, lack of surveillance, and unknown visitors with old keys. They’re demanding real safety fixes before another tragedy happens.

Police are asking for the public’s help.
