Mets’ Juan Soto, Pete Alonso win 2025 National League Silver Slugger Awards

The New York Mets were well represented in the 2025 National League Silver Slugger Awards, with Juan Soto and Pete Alonso both earning honors on Thursday night. Francisco Lindor, also nominated, fell short as Arizona’s Geraldo Perdomo captured the award at shortstop.

For Soto, it marks the sixth Silver Slugger of his career and his first as a Met. In his debut season with New York, the star outfielder delivered MVP-level production, recording a .921 OPS, a career-high 43 home runs, and 38 stolen bases, also a personal best. Despite being left off the All-Star roster, Soto is among the finalists for the 2025 NL MVP Award after his dominant all-around campaign.

Alonso, meanwhile, earned his first Silver Slugger after a milestone season in Queens. The slugging first baseman hit .272 with 38 home runs, 103 RBIs, and a .524 slugging percentage, while becoming the franchise’s all-time home run leader, surpassing Darryl Strawberry.
