Montezuma Winery donates $440 to House of Concern

A Halloween celebration at Montezuma Winery ended with a boost for a local charity.

The Martin family and staff at Montezuma Winery donated $440 to the Seneca County House of Concern, using proceeds from their first-ever Halloween Party held October 24 at the winery’s tasting room in Seneca Falls.

As members of the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce, the winery chose to support the House of Concern to help local families in need.

“It is great to see Montezuma Winery generously supporting the Seneca County House of Concern,” said Jeff Shipley, President and CEO of the Chamber. “Their donation helps this important organization continue serving local families and shows what our Chamber community can accomplish when members work together.”

The winery will continue giving back by collecting non-perishable food donations at their tasting room from November 1 through November 14. The tasting room is located at 2981 US Route 20 and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

For those interested in helping, donations to the House of Concern can also be made online, by mail, or in person. Details are available at houseofconcern.org.
