Members of the public will have a chance to weigh in on Yates County’s 2026 budget on November 20, when the Legislature holds a hearing on the latest proposal.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at the Legislative Chambers, 417 Liberty Street in Penn Yan. After the hearing, legislators may take action on the budget and address other county business.

A final vote on adopting the budget is expected that night. If approved, the tentative budget presented by the Budget Officer and endorsed in a previous resolution would become official for the 2026 fiscal year.
