The City of Auburn is inviting residents, nonprofits, and community groups to weigh in on how federal funds should be used to support local development, housing, and services.
Two opportunities for public input are scheduled this November as the city prepares its plan for the 2026–2027 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
The public meeting will take place on Monday, Nov. 10 at 5:00 p.m. at the Seymour Library’s Book Nook Lounge, located at 176 Genesee Street. The official public hearing will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 24 South Street.
The CDBG program is a federal initiative run through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). It supports affordable housing, infrastructure improvements, and public services that benefit low- to moderate-income (LMI) residents.
City officials say public input is essential in deciding how funds are prioritized and spent across Auburn neighborhoods.
