From historic dinners to holiday shopping, Genesee Country Village & Museum is offering a packed lineup of fall events this November in Mumford.
The month kicks off with a rare peek behind the scenes during the “Behind the Seams” brunch on November 2. Guests will get exclusive access to the museum’s private clothing collection vault, paired with brunch in the gallery lobby.
On November 8–9, the museum hosts its Holiday Market and “Preparing for Winter” weekend, featuring more than 30 local vendors and costumed interpreters showing how 19th-century families got ready for the cold months. Indigenous storytellers Perry Ground and Tonia Loran-Galban will also take part.
Other November highlights:
- Homeschool Day (Nov. 14): Discounted day of hands-on learning for homeschool families
- Nature & Wildlife Art Symposium (Nov. 15): Talks from experts on art, conservation, and culture
- Kiln Firing Day (Nov. 15): See 19th-century salt-glazed stoneware fired in a traditional wood kiln
