Midlakes FFA to host free Harvest Festival with live calf, dairy experience, and more

Families looking for fall fun and hands-on learning will want to mark their calendars for the Midlakes Harvest Festival on Saturday, September 27. The free community event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Midlakes High School, located at 1554 Route 488 in Clifton Springs.

Hosted by the Midlakes FFA, the festival celebrates local agriculture with interactive exhibits, vendors, and family-friendly activities. The highlight of the day is the Mobile Dairy Experience, a 1,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art trailer that gives visitors a multi-sensory look at dairy farming.

Inside the trailer, guests can explore immersive technology, captivating visuals, and educational displays about the dairy industry and the health benefits of dairy products. The Mobile Dairy Experience is suitable for all ages.

In addition to the mobile trailer, attendees can enjoy:

  • A live calf to meet and pet
  • Local vendors selling food and handmade goods
  • Small businesses and ag organizations sharing resources
  • Kids’ activities and games

The event is sponsored in part by the New York Animal Agriculture Coalition (NYAAC) and is open to the public.

“All are welcome, and we hope to see you and your family there!” organizers said.
