A Wayne County woman is facing a petit larceny charge after allegedly stealing candy from a business at the Marion Speedway, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Jennifer L. Heidemann, 39, of West Townline Road in Phelps, was arrested in the early morning hours of Sept. 16, following a report of a larceny in progress.
Deputies say Heidemann was caught concealing two candy items and leaving the store without paying. The incident happened just before 4 a.m., and she was taken into custody shortly after.
She was charged with one count of petit larceny and released on an appearance ticket. Heidemann is scheduled to appear in Marion Town Court at a later date.
