Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s three-RBI game leads Yankees to series win in Boston (highlights)

Jazz Chisholm Jr. homered and drove in three runs as the New York Yankees grabbed a 5-3 victory and a series win over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday night at Fenway Park.

Chisholm opened the scoring with an infield single in the first inning after Cody Bellinger’s sacrifice fly gave the Yankees an early lead. He added another RBI single in the third and launched his 29th home run of the year in the fifth, putting him one shy of the 30/30 milestone.

Starter Max Fried battled through 5.1 innings, allowing two runs on nine hits with six strikeouts. Alex Bregman’s solo blast in the fifth and a run-scoring rally in the sixth trimmed the lead, but reliever Luke Weaver stopped the threat. Jarren Duran later homered off Fernando Cruz in the eighth to make it 4-3 before Bellinger’s two-out double in the ninth added insurance. David Bednar retired the side in the ninth on seven pitches for his 24th save of the season.

Aaron Judge, Bellinger, and Chisholm combined for seven hits, five RBI, and three runs.
