A Penn Yan woman was arrested late last month after police say she was driving under the influence and operating a vehicle with an expired inspection.
According to the Penn Yan Police Department, 52-year-old Nicole L. Willoughby was pulled over just after 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 29 after officers noticed her vehicle had not been inspected since June.
The traffic stop occurred on East Elm Street. Police say Willoughby showed multiple signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests at the scene. She was taken into custody and brought to the Yates County Jail, where she refused to take a chemical breath test.
Willoughby was later charged with driving while intoxicated and operating an uninspected motor vehicle. She was held at the jail to await CAP arraignment.
