Winemakers in the Finger Lakes region are predicting a good grape harvest for the 2025 season, thanks to favorable weather, WETM reports.
A dry spring and warm summer helped crops mature, while less rain during harvest has reduced the need for fungicides. Lakewood Vineyards and Atwater Vineyards both say conditions are ideal, and harvest is starting on schedule — with some grape varieties like Pinot Noir slightly ahead of normal.
The outlook is optimistic after a difficult 2023 season impacted by late frosts.
