Art lovers will get a chance to score original artwork and support the local arts scene at the upcoming “6×6 Frenzy” fundraiser in Seneca Falls.
The event, hosted by the Seneca County Arts Council, will be held Friday, September 26 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Artworks Gallery, located at 109 Fall Street in downtown Seneca Falls.
Here’s how it works: each $20 ticket gets the buyer one original piece of 6-by-6-inch artwork. When the bell rings during the reception, ticket holders will make a dash to pick their favorite piece from the wall. All art is made and donated by local artists and crafters.
The evening will also include refreshments and door prizes. Tickets are available during gallery hours, Wednesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., or at the door on the night of the event.
Can’t attend? The gallery will assign a “runner” to pick a piece on your behalf, or you can stop in after the event to purchase remaining works.
Proceeds from the event support year-round programming, including juried art and photo shows, workshops, and a scholarship for a local high school graduate. The council receives additional support from the Bonafiglia Family Foundation.
