Man arrested in Bristol for violating family court order

Deputies arrested a 32-year-old man Monday morning in the town of Bristol after he allegedly violated a family court order.

Francis G. Ryan III was taken into custody around 10 a.m. on Logan Road. According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Ryan is charged with second-degree criminal contempt.

The arrest follows an investigation into a reported violation of an order issued by Ontario County Family Court. Deputies say the order had been properly served prior to the alleged incident.

Ryan was transported to Ontario County Jail and is awaiting arraignment. He’s expected to appear in Bristol Town Court at a later date.
