Two of the seven suspects accused of torturing and killing Sam Nordquist appeared in Ontario County Court Friday as key evidence hearings concluded, according to WHAM.
Jennifer “Brooklyn” Quijano and Thomas Eaves are among those charged in the February murder of Nordquist, a transgender man from Minnesota. Prosecutors say he was held and beaten for weeks before his body was found in a Yates County field. The hearings focused on whether the suspects’ police statements can be used at trial.
No trial date is set, and rulings on the evidence aren’t expected until year’s end.
