Explore 200 years of history at Pultneyville talk and walk

The Williamson-Pultneyville Historical Society will host a special Talk & Walk event on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 2 p.m. in the scenic hamlet of Pultneyville, highlighting two centuries of architectural heritage along Lake Ontario.

The event features Cynthia Howk, former Architectural Research Coordinator at The Landmark Society of Western New York, who will deliver an illustrated talk followed by an optional walking tour through Pultneyville’s historic district.

A rare look at Pultneyville’s architectural gems

Howk’s talk will explore the hamlet’s unique collection of buildings dating from the early 1800s through the mid-20th century. Once a thriving port, agricultural hub, and summer getaway, Pultneyville’s history is reflected in its well-preserved structures — many of which are listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places.

After the presentation, Howk will lead a leisurely walking tour (weather permitting) to see several featured sites in person.
