Residents near Van Rensselaer Street should prepare for brief service interruptions and pressure changes as scheduled water tower maintenance begins next week.
Crews will begin work on Monday, Sept. 8, and expect to finish by Thursday, Sept. 11, according to a notice published by the Water Department.
What to expect during the work
During the maintenance window, residents may notice temporary drops in water pressure, brief outages, or discoloration in tap water. Officials are urging households to conserve water and hold off on running dishwashers or doing laundry if possible.
The town says the maintenance is essential to keep the water system safe and reliable.
