The Artworks Gallery is offering a four-week series of drawing workshops. The classes teach drawing basics with instructor Roberta Nelson.
The workshops are for people who want to learn how to draw. They can also help students sharpen already learned skills. Classes are on Fridays from September 12 through October 3, from 1 to 3 p.m..
The workshops will be held at the Artworks Gallery at 109 Fall Street in Seneca Falls. Each class in the series builds upon the previous one.
Instructor Roberta Nelson says the studies focus on seeing an object as an artist sees it. They also focus on proportioning, spatial relationships, and creating depth with shading.
Participants need to bring a 2B or HB pencil, a drawing pad, an 18″ ruler, and an eraser. The cost is $10 per session.
