A house fire at 1441 Bankert Road in the Town of Phelps is under investigation. Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene around 11:35 p.m. on Friday.
All occupants were able to exit the residence safely. There were no reported injuries. The occupants are Anna Dejohn, 74, and Frank DeJohn, 72.
The residence was engulfed in smoke when first responders arrived. The fire reportedly started in the northeastern most room of the house.
Fire departments from Clifton Springs, Phelps, and Manchester gained control of the incident. The Red Cross assisted the occupants with housing.
