A volunteer fire department in Cortland County just scored a $10,000 boost for new gear, according to WIVT.
The Willet Fire Department was one of eight in New York chosen for the Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program, funded by State Farm and the National Volunteer Fire Council.
The grant helps small departments afford vital equipment they often can’t otherwise secure.
