A traffic stop in the Village of Bath led to the arrest of a Hawaii man for drunk driving earlier this week.
Police say they pulled over a vehicle around 1:35 a.m. on August 15 near West Morris Street and Hubbell Street after seeing multiple traffic violations.
The driver was identified as Travis S. Bencs, 44, of Kapolei, Hawaii. Officers noted several signs of alcohol impairment and took Bencs into custody after an investigation.
He’s charged with misdemeanor Driving While Intoxicated and multiple traffic violations. Bencs was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Bath Village Court at a later date.
