A Victor man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he violated an order of protection immediately after it was served.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested 37-year-old Richard E. Byers around 7:30 p.m. on August 11 at his home on Ambassador Drive.
Deputies had just served Byers with the order when he allegedly refused to comply and began resisting arrest. He was charged with criminal contempt, obstruction of governmental administration, and resisting arrest.
Byers was taken to the Ontario County Jail and held for CAP Court.
Deputy Outhouse led the investigation, assisted by Deputy Zambanini and State Trooper Ronzo.
