A Syracuse man already in custody on unrelated charges now faces multiple counts of criminal contempt after authorities say he violated a court order of protection on 10 occasions.
Kashawn D. Jenkins Sr., 48, was arrested on July 25 after an investigation revealed he repeatedly visited the Cayuga Onondaga BOCES campus in Aurelius to pick up a woman protected by a full stay-away order, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.
The violations allegedly occurred over a span of several visits following the issuance of the protective order. Deputies charged Jenkins with second-degree criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. He was processed and returned to the custody of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office on $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
Jenkins is scheduled to appear in the Town of Aurelius Court at a later date.
