A Geneva man was arrested early Wednesday morning after a traffic stop in the Town of Waterloo led to a charge of driving while intoxicated.
Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies pulled over Victor J. Cruz-Melendez around 3 a.m. on July 31 for an equipment violation. Deputies said they also observed an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.
Following field sobriety tests, Cruz-Melendez was arrested and submitted to a breath test, which registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.14 percent, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Cruz-Melendez was charged with misdemeanor DWI and released on an appearance ticket. He is scheduled to appear in Waterloo Town Court on August 20.
