Tenney unveils tax plan aimed at families and small businesses

Congresswoman Claudia Tenney has introduced a 2025 Tax Plan that she says will deliver cost savings for families, protect small businesses, and expand economic opportunity across New York’s 24th District.

Tenney, a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, announced the plan following the passage of President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which was signed into law on July 4. She helped craft the legislation, which builds on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act by making lower tax rates permanent, eliminating certain IRS rules, and reducing taxes on tips, overtime, and retirement income.

“My mission has always been to put New York taxpayers first,” Tenney said. “This plan rewards work, protects family businesses, and gives families more control over their hard-earned money. I’ll never stop fighting to make our tax code work for small business and families across NY-24.”

Tenney is the only Republican from New York to vote in favor of both of Trump’s major tax reform bills. Her 2025 Tax Plan outlines the benefits the district stands to gain and identifies further changes she says Congress must pursue.

The proposal includes targeted relief for seniors, family farms, and local employers in rural and suburban areas of the state.
