A juvenile was arrested Monday in connection with a domestic incident that escalated into physical violence, according to police in Seneca Falls.
The arrest followed an investigation by the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department into a July 28 altercation involving a protected party.
Authorities said the juvenile became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated when he placed his forearms around the victim’s neck, restricting her breathing. An active order of protection was in place at the time of the incident.
The juvenile was charged with felony criminal contempt in the first degree and criminal obstruction of breathing, a class A misdemeanor. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Family Court.
