A Newark man was injured early Sunday morning when his motorcycle struck a deer on a rural Wayne County road.
Brian S. Oconnor, 34, was riding north on Parker Road in the Town of Palmyra when the collision occurred, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies responded to the scene at 5:45 a.m. and reported that Oconnor sustained injuries in the crash.
Emergency crews transported Oconnor by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital. The extent of his injuries was not detailed in the sheriff’s report.
The Palmyra Fire Department, East Palmyra Fire Department, and Fingerlakes Ambulance assisted at the scene.
