Galen woman arrested on bench warrant after missing court for three months

Deputies arrested a Galen woman Wednesday evening after she failed to appear in court for three consecutive months.

Jolene L. LaPlant, 36, of Lyons, was taken into custody at her residence in the Town of Galen on a bench warrant issued by the Rose Town Court. She was transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, where she will await arraignment at Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) court.

The arrest was carried out by Deputies M. Bastedo and M. King. LaPlant is expected to appear in court at a later date to answer to the original charges and the failure to appear.
