Brittany Commisso, the former aide who accused ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo of groping her in 2020, has reached a $450,000 settlement with the state, according to the Times Union. The case was filed under the Adult Survivors Act and centered on claims of sexual harassment and retaliation.
Cuomo’s legal team denied wrongdoing, calling the deal a “nuisance settlement” and accusing Commisso of withholding evidence. Her lawyers argued the agreement validated her claims, which were previously supported by investigations from the attorney general and other agencies.
The settlement closes one of the most serious allegations that led to Cuomo’s 2021 resignation, though tensions persist as he eyes a political comeback.
