The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office marked a milestone this week as three inmates graduated from the county jail’s Therapy Program, a 10-week initiative focused on rehabilitation and reducing recidivism.

The program, operated in partnership with FLACRA counselors, includes anger management sessions, substance abuse education, and both individual and family counseling. The goal is to help participants address personal struggles, develop healthier coping strategies, and build a path toward long-term change.
“Congratulations to today’s graduates of the Ontario County Jail Therapy Program!” the sheriff’s office stated in a public announcement. Officials praised the commitment of both the participants and the staff who made the program possible.
Pictured during the ceremony was one of the graduates, alongside FLACRA counselor Jill, Chief Correction Officer Morell, Corrections Lieutenant Walton, Chief Deputy Lambert, and several pieces of artwork created by the graduates throughout the course.
The sheriff’s office highlighted the dedication of its corrections staff and counseling partners in keeping rehabilitation efforts a top priority.
