Bath man held without bail after domestic violence arrest

A Bath man was arrested and remains in custody following a domestic dispute that left an elderly woman injured, according to the Village of Bath Police Department.

Police responded to a residence on West Morris Street around 1:30 p.m. on July 12 after receiving a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers found an elderly female victim who had sustained injuries related to the incident. Further investigation revealed that the male suspect was still inside the home.

Officers made contact with the suspect and took him into custody without incident.

Michael A. Parkinson, 40, of Bath, was arrested and charged with aggravated family offense, a Class E felony, and assault in the second degree, a Class D felony.

Parkinson was transported to the Steuben County Jail for CAP arraignment and is currently being held without bail.
