After two years of research, Ontario County unveiled a new report outlining ten strategies to support residents facing housing instability, mental health challenges, or reentry after incarceration, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The study—led by the Campbell Commission and The Partnership for Ontario County—highlights systemic gaps despite the county’s strong statewide performance. One-third of households earn too much for aid but not enough to meet basic needs.
Recommendations include better care coordination, expanded peer support, improved housing and transportation, and enhanced public awareness. Leaders say the findings aim to reduce recidivism and support long-term community wellness.
