Ahead of Micron’s key environmental hearing, concerns are growing over the limited time for public review, according to CNY Central.
The company’s 719-page draft environmental impact statement drew criticism from residents and advocacy groups who say they need more time to analyze the details. County Executive Ryan McMahon defended the timeline, insisting it’s adequate and that all submitted feedback will be thoroughly reviewed.
The public comment sessions are set for July 24 at Liverpool High School. McMahon emphasized the hearing isn’t legally required but aims to ensure transparency before final construction decisions are made.
