A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Livingston County over the weekend, and New York State Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Troopers from SP Geneseo responded to the crash around 7:43 p.m. on July 13 near Main Street in the town of York. A preliminary investigation determined that a passenger vehicle hit the pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Collision Reconstruction Unit were dispatched to assist with processing the scene and gathering evidence.
Authorities say the investigation remains active, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
