Goodwill of the Finger Lakes will officially open its newest thrift retail store at 381 Hamilton St. in Geneva on Friday, Aug. 8, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration beginning at 9 a.m.
The new location, housed in the former Tops Friendly Markets space at the Geneva Shopping Center, marks Goodwill’s 14th retail location in upstate New York. The first 100 shoppers through the doors on opening day will receive a $10 Goodwill gift card, and all rewards shoppers will earn double points throughout the day.
“We are thrilled to join the Geneva community and give a new life to this wonderful retail location,” said Goodwill of the Finger Lakes President & CEO Jennifer Lake. “When you donate or shop at Goodwill, you give things a second life and are embracing value, versatility and sustainability in every purchase.”
The Geneva store expands Goodwill’s reach in Ontario County, complementing existing stores in Victor and Canandaigua. In addition to offering high-quality secondhand and new goods, the new store will support Goodwill’s broader mission-focused services, including 211/LIFE LINE, the 988 Suicide Hotline, Good Neighbor, and sustainability programs that benefit over 171,000 individuals annually across the region.
Donation drop-offs at the Geneva store will be accepted daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. beginning July 21. Regular hours starting Aug. 8 will be Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
