An Auburn man will serve five years in prison for felony drug possession, according to The Citizen.
Brent L. Tanner Sr., 37, was sentenced Tuesday after being caught in January with cocaine, crack, and fentanyl during a parole compliance check. The sentence, which includes 2.5 years of post-release supervision, will run consecutively with a prior conviction.
Tanner expressed remorse and cited efforts to seek addiction treatment, though prosecutors argued he was more involved in drug sales. The judge urged Tanner to stay committed to recovery, saying he hoped not to see him in court again.
