Canandaigua man arrested on warrant for assault, larceny, and child endangerment

Deputies arrested a Canandaigua resident Wednesday night on a bench warrant tied to multiple charges, including assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Justin Curtis Payne, 44, was taken into custody without incident at his home on Saltonstall Street at 9:54 p.m., according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office. The warrant was issued by Farmington Town Court after Payne allegedly failed to appear to face charges of third-degree assault, petit larceny, and child endangerment.

Deputies transported Payne to the Ontario County Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment at CAP Court.

The arrest was carried out by Deputy Boadway, with assistance from OCSO Deputy Turnbull and Canandaigua Police Officer Raeman.
