A vehicle slammed into a utility pole Sunday morning in Alton, prompting a swift emergency response and temporary traffic disruption.
The crash occurred at 11:32 a.m. and resulted in minor injuries to the driver, who was evaluated at the scene by Wayne County EMS and declined further treatment.
The Alton Fire Company responded and secured the area before turning the scene over to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office for investigation. Wallington Engine Company assisted with traffic control during the response.
