Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) stock edged up 0.15% in early trading Tuesday, continuing its upward trend as investors react to strong support at the company’s annual meeting and rising expectations for global AI spending.
Shareholders back Nvidia leadership
At Nvidia’s June 25 Annual Meeting, shareholders voted overwhelmingly to re-elect all 13 director nominees and approved executive compensation packages. However, several proposed governance changes—such as removing supermajority provisions and enhancing workforce data transparency—were rejected.
This mix of approvals and rejections suggests continued shareholder trust in Nvidia’s leadership under CEO Jensen Huang, despite pressure from governance advocates.
Nvidia’s stock outlook stays strong
TipRanks AI analyst “Spark” maintains an Outperform rating on Nvidia, highlighting the company’s dominance in data centers and AI. Despite concerns over valuation and short-term overbought indicators, Nvidia’s 90% market share in AI accelerators and cutting-edge GPUs like Blackwell continue to fuel long-term bullishness.
Nvidia’s current market cap stands at $3.85 trillion, with average daily trading volume nearing 249 million shares.
Analyst price targets climb
Brokerage firm Loop Capital recently raised its Nvidia price target to $250, citing massive expected growth in AI spending—nearly $2 trillion by 2028. That target represents a nearly 60% upside from today’s levels.
Analyst Ananda Baruah said Nvidia is at the “front-end of another material leg of stronger-than-anticipated demand,” calling the company a near-monopoly in AI chip supply. He noted Nvidia’s pricing power and margin control are key to sustaining long-term gains.
Europe’s AI push boosts Nvidia
Meanwhile, European governments are ramping up investments in sovereign AI projects, ordering millions of next-gen GPUs. The EU’s $23 billion gigafactory initiative is expected to benefit Nvidia and rival AMD significantly, with factories across 16 countries aiming to boost domestic chip production.
Huang has been active in securing deals across Europe, as the region eyes $1.5 trillion in AI investment by 2030, 8% of which may come from Europe.

Risks remain, but momentum builds
While Nvidia’s dominance in AI is undeniable, competition from AMD, Amazon, and internal chips at Meta and Google could challenge margins. A downturn in AI enthusiasm or pullback in tech spending may also affect growth trajectories.
Still, with Nvidia’s robust fundamentals, global demand, and strong investor support, the company remains a bellwether for the AI era.
