Juneberry Farm in Ovid opens for u-pick season

A hidden gem in the hamlet of Willard is once again welcoming visitors for the summer harvest.

Juneberry Farm, located at 6960 1st Street in Ovid, is now open for the 2025 u-pick season. The farm, founded by Guy Lister a decade ago, features one of New York State’s largest organic Juneberry crops.

Known for their rich flavor and nutritional benefits, Juneberries—also called Serviceberries—offer a unique taste described as a mix of blueberry, dark cherry, raisin, and almond. U-pick berries are available for $5 per pint. Daily hours vary, and visitors are encouraged to check the farm’s Facebook page or text Lister at 315-952-5060 for updates.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Seneca County encourages those interested in learning more about Juneberries to visit www.senecacountycce.org/agriculture/juneberries.
